SAP Reaffirms Commitment to Pakistan’s Digital Transformation Amid AI Push

Karachi: SAP, the global enterprise applications and business AI company, has reiterated its commitment to Pakistan’s digital transformation and economic growth during a visit by Augusta Spinelli, Regional President, SAP Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

During the visit, Ms Spinelli met Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja. The discussions focused on Pakistan’s digital economy, adoption of artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and workforce readiness for an AI-driven future.

According to an official statement, the minister appreciated SAP’s contribution to technology-led innovation in Pakistan. She said the country’s digital economy is supported by a young, technology-savvy population and progressive policy frameworks, and stressed the importance of leveraging data, cloud and AI to enhance innovation, efficiency and economic opportunity.

She said SAP’s efforts were contributing to the development of a “more connected, competitive and future-ready Digital Nation Pakistan.”

SAP representatives underscored the need for strong digital foundations, trusted data systems and integrated enterprise platforms to enable effective use of artificial intelligence in business environments. The company reiterated its focus on supporting cloud ERP adoption, business AI solutions and small and medium-sized enterprise enablement through initiatives such as GROW with SAP.

The company also noted Pakistan’s expanding digital economy, driven by a young workforce and increasing technology adoption across both public and private sectors. It said continued investment in local talent and partnerships with stakeholders would remain central to its strategy in the country.
