Karachi: Patel Hospital organized an awareness walk and informative session on the occasion of World Cancer Day to raise public awareness. The event aimed to provide awareness about the deadly disease, cancer, and highlight the importance of early treatment.
The awareness session was attended by health experts as well as a large number of people. On this occasion, Consultant Medical Oncologist Dr. Mehwish Shaikh provided valuable information on early detection, treatment, and screening for cancer. She emphasized that early detection of cancer makes treatment possible.

The Deputy Medical Director of Patel Hospital stated that there is a lack of information about cancer among the public, which often leads to patients missing timely treatment. He said that awareness about the disease is the only way to encourage people to seek early diagnosis and treatment. During the event, the Director of Communication and Resource Development, Farhan Asadi, also expressed his views, stating that the primary objective of this awareness walk was to provide essential information to the public about the deadly disease. He further mentioned that Patel Hospital is continuously working on such initiatives to ensure awareness reaches as many people as possible.
