Port Qasim Booms with Increased Shipping Traffic, Boosting Global Trade
On Tuesday, four vessels – MSC Jemima, Sun Flower, Hoanh Son Planet, and SG Pigasus – arrived at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal, Grain Terminal, and Liquid Terminal respectively for loading and unloading of Container, Rice, Canola Seed, and Palm oil. Additionally, the bulk carrier ‘Pacific Pride’ anchored at the outer anchorage of the port.
Over the past 24 hours, a total of seven ships were actively engaged at PQA berths. Among them, the gas carrier ‘Hania Prestige’ departed from the port this morning. Furthermore, three more ships – Discovery, MSC Jemima, and Wide Alpha – are expected to set sail this afternoon.

During this period, the port handled a cargo volume of 88,713 tonnes, comprising 61,911 tonnes of imported cargo and 26,802 tonnes of export cargo, carried in 2,275 containers (861 TEUs for imports and 1,414 TEUs for exports).
At the Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, fifteen ships are currently anchored. Among them, three vessels – Pan Fortune, Bellini, and Pacific Pride – along with two others, Wide Alpha and Maersk Pittsburgh, carrying Steel Coil, Gas oil, Coal, and Containers, are anticipated to berth at Multi-Purpose Terminal, Oil Terminal, Bulk Terminal, and Container Terminal respectively on Wednesday. Meanwhile, three additional container ships – CSL Manhattan, Singapore, and Cosco America – are scheduled to arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday.
