PSL 2024 Extends Invitation to International Cricket Stars for Participation
Lahore: Registration is now open for foreign players for the upcoming season of the HBL Pakistan Super League, tentatively scheduled from 8th February to 24th March.
This marks the ninth edition of the flagship event. Category renewals for local players will be announced shortly. Subsequently, the trade and retention window will be activated. The pick order for the player draft of the upcoming season will also be disclosed once the trade and retention window is open.
The finalization of retentions and trades is planned ahead of the HBL PSL 9 Player Draft, tentatively set for mid-December, following the conclusion of the National T20. The National T20 final is slated to take place on 10th December in Karachi.
In the previous HBL PSL season, Lahore Qalandars emerged victorious, defeating Multan Sultans in the final at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. This secured their position as the first team to clinch two successive HBL PSL titles. Islamabad United secured the third place, with Peshawar Zalmi in fourth position. Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
