Punjab and Potohar Region Prepare for Rainfall: Chilled Conditions Set to Intensify in Lahore, Weather Update Suggests

Following a bone-chilling spell in Lahore and across the nation, the Meteorological Office anticipates a brief relief with the onset of light rain and drizzle in Punjab, Potohar, and Kashmir within the next 24 hours. This precipitation, influenced by a shallow westerly wave, is poised to further lower temperatures. In addition, rain-thunderstorms accompanied by snowfall are expected in northern Balochistan and lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Caution is advised due to anticipated foggy conditions, particularly in the northern regions, where the weather is notably chilly.

In Lahore, the temperature is projected to fluctuate between 5°C and 14°C today. The prevailing conditions include high humidity, low UV levels, and poor visibility. Despite efforts to control pollution, Lahore’s air quality remains within the “Dangerous” range. Engaging in outdoor activities is discouraged to safeguard your health. Dense fog and smog are expected in Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Mangla, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Toba Tek Singh, Khanewal, Multan, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Hafizabad, and surrounding areas.
